Rubber Calendering Technology The calendering process is commonly used for shaping high viscosity sheets and is particularly suitable for rubber compounds. Lubrication Approximation will be used to determine the fundamental equations governing the process. Specific attention is also addressed to the calender configuration and compensations for deflection of calender rolls. An example of numerical simultaneous of and polymer flow in the calendering process is also presented.
Expert:
With more than 22 yrs experience in the rubber industry, Dr.Nichette started his professional career in Pirelli Tires as Technology Innovation and Project Manager in 1997 and later worked as Chiorino Belting's Technical Director. In 2005, He worked as Chief Technology Officer in ILVA Polymers and Vice President Technology in Cimentas. In 2015, he founded Rheonic Industrial Consulting to provide technical support for rubber industries globally. He has published more than 50 papers and holds 3 patents. He finished Ph.D in Macromolecular Science from Case Western Reserve University in 1997.
