Dr. Abdul Salam[Profile]
Dr. Abdul Salam is currently serving as Head of Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Change and Associate Professor of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Salam has around 25 years of international experience in research, consultancy and capacity building in the areas of bioenergy (biomass, biofuel, biogas), waste to energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate change mitigation. He has published more than 100 internationally refereed journal articles, conference papers, and books, and presented his research findings in more than 40 countries. He also has three years of working experience as the General Manager and Chief Design Engineer of an energy service company. He has obtained Master of Engineering (1994) and Doctor of Engineering (2005) in Renewable Energy and Energy Technology, respectively, from AIT. Dr. Salam also received the Thailand Frontier Researcher Award for 2016 in Engineering, in recognition of pioneering a new frontier research, by Thomson Reuters and Office of Higher Education Commission of Thailand.
Dr. Apipong Lamsam[Profile]
Dr. Apipong Lamsam received his Doctoral of Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in 2008 on Environmental Engineering and Management. His focus has been on environmental issues including air pollution, wastewater treatment and biogas production system. He has over 10 years’ experience in the design of wastewater treatment process particularly on biogas production, treatment and purification process using various raw materials such as agricultural industrial wastewater, municipal solid waste and energy corp. Furthermore, he has vast experience in developing and execution of various waste to energy projects in Thailand which is one of the most attractive places in renewable energy project development in South East Asia. He is currently the Managing Director of Papop Co., Ltd. which is a leading biogas technology provider in Thailand.
Jessica Shrout is the owner of Circle Three Branding – a marketing agency dedicated to the waste and recycling industry. Her passion grew from a frustration that no outside agency seemed to understand the needs of the waste world – and so it became a mission to provide brand strategy and marketing services from someone who understands. Jessica’s work has won first-place awards at the national level in 2018, 2019, and 2020. She is also a columnist on marketing strategy for the industry and speaks on these topics across the globe.
